It was with great sorrow that we learned of the passing of Wasyl Odynsky.
Odynsky, Wasyl born in Beleluja, Western Ukraine, January 08, 1924, died in Scarborough, Ontario May 16, 2014, age 90. Survived by his beloved wife of 66 years Maria (Tenyk), brother Myroslav, and sister Hanna and family in Ukraine.
His loss is mourned deeply by his children, Olya (Jaroslaw), Nikolai (Chris), Marusia (Ron), his granddaughters Zoryana (Mikhaylo), Natalya (Paul), great granddaughter Sofiya, nephew Alexei (Svitlana and family).
Wasyl was grateful for the life he had in Canada, though Ukraine was always in his heart and on his mind. Devoted to his family and his community Wasyl will be remembered by all those whose lives he touched.
The family thanks the staff of Scarborough General Hospital for their compassion in his care and Father Petro Dvirnyk for his spiritual support.
