UWC PRESIDENT EUGENE CZOLIJ CONGRATULATES PRESIDENT-ELECT OF UKRAINE PETRO POROSHENKO
On 26 May 2014 Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Eugene Czolij called Ukraine’s President-elect Petro Poroshenko and congratulated him on his victory in the Presidential Election held on 25 May 2014.
The UWC President underlined that the strong support obtained by President-elect Petro Poroshenko from the citizens of Ukraine, who turned out in significant numbers to express their will, gives him a firm mandate to move Ukraine forward and overcome its current crisis.
Eugene Czolij assuredUkraine’s President-elect of the support of the Ukrainian diaspora led by the UWC as he works to protectUkraine’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, while furthering the aspirations of the Ukrainian people for democratic and European values.
“The Ukrainian World Congress will work with President-elect Petro Poroshenko and his new administration to maintain strong ties betweenUkraineand the Ukrainian diaspora with the mutual goal ofUkraineassuming its rightful place in the European Union,” stated UWC President Eugene Czolij.
