Donald Trump believes that an agreement with Russia on peace has been reached, now it’s Kyiv’s turn.
This was reported by “RBK-Ukraine” with reference to Trump’s press conference in the Oval Office.
The head of the White House said that he will be able to resolve the issue of the war in Ukraine “thanks to certain abilities”.
Trump noted that Russia is ready for negotiations and a peace agreement.
“I think we have an agreement with Russia. We should reach an agreement with Zelensky. And I hope that Zelensky… I thought it would be easier to reach an agreement with him. So far it has turned out to be more difficult, but nothing terrible. That’s normal. But I think we have an agreement with both of them. I hope they will do it,” Trump said.
Peace talks in London
On Wednesday, April 23, another round of peace talks took place in London with the participation of representatives of Ukraine, Britain, France, Germany and the United States of America. During the meeting, the American side proposed a new peace plan for Ukraine, according to which Washington is ready to recognize Crimea as the territory of the Russian Federation and lift anti-Russian sanctions. In exchange, the Kremlin is freezing the war.
However, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has rejected this idea.
