The twenty-seventh month of the war was marked by the invasion of Russian troops into the territory of the Kharkiv region, the trip of the Kremlin satrap to the Beijing Bogdykhan, the resignation of Shoigu and a blow to two of Putin’s allies – in Slovakia and Iran. The increase in military assistance to Ukraine from the West is traditionally accompanied by the whining of those who like to preserve “Putin’s face,” and the strengthening of the real, armed opposition, is accompanied by a discussion of its (the opposition’s) moral qualities.
The next “inauguration” of the Dresden resident, which took place on 7 May, demonstrated that the neo-Soviet nomenclature was determined to hold on to power. The general mood was guessed by the operative in a cassock, Vladimir Gundyaev (call sign “Kirill”), who wished the “guarantor” to rule until his death. In this, paradoxically, those who are not indifferent to the concepts of freedom, honour and dignity are in solidarity with him. The discrepancy comes down to timing: the “patriarch” wants to extend the prosperity of his social stratum for several decades, and normal people strive to speed up the “X-hour”.
The newly elected one understands this too. In the absence of internal legitimacy, one has to turn to external players, primarily China and Iran, so that they bless and, more importantly, help with weapons.
But first, escalation. Having celebrated the day of someone else’s (Anti-Hitler Coalition) victory, on 10 May, the Russian armed forces launched an offensive in two sectors, one of which was in the direction of the city of Vovchansk. A group of troops named “North”, familiar from the forties of the last century, tried to dig deep. On the first day, Putin’s fighters managed to take five villages, and over the next four days – seven more.
On 13 May, the assault on Vovchansk began. Within a week, the invaders took the northern part of the city. Fierce fighting is taking place in the populated area. A similar situation is developing near the village of Liptsy. In addition to the Khortytsya group of troops, the Kraken and the Russian Volunteer Corps are fighting against the imperial horde. Among those who oppose them, we see another name familiar from World War II – the Afrika Korps. Units of this subdivision, for example, attacked the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Lukyantsy, northeast of Liptsy.
If you read the experts, you may get the impression that the Kremlin’s goal is anything but the capture of Kharkiv. The “hero of the occasion” himself echoes the experts: they say that the Russian Federation has no plans to occupy the regional centre. Experience shows there is no point in believing the words of an unfinished Fuhrer. And this is not just about Kharkiv. As long as Ukraine exists, Putin will not sleep peacefully. The opposite is also true.
To carry out his plans, the newly crowned one decided to make a series of castings in the security forces. The old leadership of the Ministry of Defenсe was considered too thieving. If before a full-scale war, they grumbled amicably, now, due to the depletion of the food supply, they have to tighten their belts. Even “second oil” doesn’t help. A war against civilization requires money. Much money. The dream of not only the murdered Prigozhin but also of the still-living Pevchikh came true.
Andrei Belousov has been appointed as the new overseer of the army. The recent investigation about his mistresses only distracts from the point. This financier, who dreams of “annihilating the military,” dotes on Vladimir Vladimirovich and, it seems, is sincerely ready to eradicate sedition and theft in the army. The second in the current situation can be equated to the first. Above all this towers the figure of the new assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, Nikolai Patrushev, providing ideological cover. The goal is the thousand-year power of the neo-Soviet nomenklatura, and the means is technocratic tightening.
The cleaning began even before the formal removal of the plywood marshal. On April 23, Deputy Minister Timur Ivanov, the richest security official in 2019 according to Forbes, was arrested. Neither the orders nor the supervision of the construction of the Patriot Park saved him. FBK happily reported: they say, it’s us, it’s us, it’s us that Putin listened to! In general, bribery backfired on this character.
On 13 May, it was the turn of the head of the Main Personnel Directorate of the RF Ministry of Defense Yuri Kuznetsov, on May 17 – the former commander of the 58th Army, Major General Ivan Popov, on 23 May – the head of the Main Communications Directorate of the RF Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Vadim Shamarin and an employee of the Department for State Defence Procurement of the RF Ministry of Defence Vladimir Verteletsky. A day earlier, the press secretary of the Russian Defence Ministry, Major Rossiyana Markovskaya, left her position, saying that these seven years flew by like a MiG-31. The commander of the 20th Army, Lieutenant General Sukhrob Akhmedov, was removed.
The question is, why did Prigozhin die and Andrei Morozov, nicknamed “Murz”, kill himself? This is exactly what they wanted. The answer is simple: the nomenklatura is not pleased with either military leaders who steal, or stubborn truth-tellers who wash dirty linen in public. But the shadow of the honoured executioner of the Russian Federation, Army General Sergei Surovikin, loomed on the horizon again. There were also more rumours about another mobilization.
The head of the Russian Guard, Viktor Zolotov, swam to the surface. On May 15, he reported that he had received 36 tanks, a lot of artillery and mortars. In other words, the ruling elite is ready for popular unrest in the Russian Federation. At least that’s what she thinks.
However, this was not enough. Lovers of empires and spiritual bonds needed external approval. For this purpose, Putin went to China to ask for a label. Judging by the available data, the Beijing gentlemen blessed their faithful “donkey,” which was confirmed by Foreign Minister Lavrov (call sign “Moron”). A week later, Western intelligence agencies received information that the Chinese communists were supplying the Russian Federation with lethal weapons. In return, they demand complete loyalty on all issues, including Taiwan.
However, the free world does not intend to disarm before the “axis of dictatorships.” Amid rumors of an impending June attack by the PRC, Chiang Kai-shek’s heirs are deploying launchers of the Xiongfeng 3 supersonic anti-ship missiles. It’s time to remember the traditions of the World Anti-Communist League, now the World League for Freedom and Democracy.
The boredom of Putin’s voyage to China was revived by news from the European Union. On 15 May, shots were fired in Slovakia; The sentence was carried out against the long-time “Putinfersteer” Robert Fico. Revolutionary justice was undertaken by the writer Juraj Cintula, who is even said to be worthy of the 2024 Nobel Prize in Literature. Of course, there were some conspiracy theories. For example, someone claims that Tsintula is connected with some pro-Putin organization. All this is mixed with reports about the writer’s marriage to a Ukrainian woman. He certainly calls himself a liberal. On social networks, Tsintula did not hide his hatred of the prime minister. In Slovakia, the people are thorough: once said, it’s done. Be that as it may, the pro-Putin prime minister is now in no position to make political decisions.
Four days later, Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi lost this opportunity. It soon became clear that the Israeli agent Eli Kopter (in Russia better known as Vert Olet) was to blame for everything. The death of the obscurantist, who was only concerned with censorship and suppression of dissidents, became a national holiday for the Iranian people. For the Kremlin nomenklatura, a black day of the calendar happened. It was none other than Raisi who initiated the supply of Shaheds and other Iranian-made military equipment to the Russian Federation. Interestingly, the deceased considered Western sanctions useful for his regime, and in general advocated a ban on everything Western, but he flew on American equipment. Hypocrisy is punishable.
By the way, the previous president of the Iranian Republic of Iran who died in office was Mohammad Ali Rajai. In 1981, he was executed by activists of the Organization of the Mujahideen of the Iranian People.
The Putinites are not sitting idle either. For example, on 21 May, Polish police detained nine people on suspicion of committing sabotage ordered by the Russian intelligence services. An attempt to set fire to a paint factory in Wroclaw was foiled. Five or six fires have already occurred. Beatings of opponents of Putinism were also planned. Prime Minister Donald Tusk recalled that similar sabotage was committed in Latvia, Lithuania and Sweden, and announced the restoration of a commission to investigate the influence of the Russian Federation and Lukashenko’s Republic of Belarus on Poland.
So what do we see? The neo-Soviet nomenklatura, which muzzled the Russian people and then made a desperate attempt to restore order in the neighbouring country, is suffering failure after failure. A six-month assault on small Bakhmut, and then Chasov Yar, is clearly not what it all started for. Responsibility for the failure lies with Shoigu and his thieving friends, drinking buddies, relatives, and lovers. On top of all the troubles, being a supporter of Putin’s war is becoming not only unfashionable but shameful. Here and there, “veterans of the Northern Military District” complain about a lack of understanding of their subtle mental organization. Somewhere they are simply beaten. In Yekaterinburg, one girl, without thinking twice, stabbed a Putin fighter for refusing to buy her a gift. An action-packed action movie about how she caught up with him at the entrance and inflicted new mortal wounds is still waiting for its writer.
People’s love for Putin’s horde of murderers, marauders and mercenaries is expanding every day. In Tyva, for example, there are reports of “some young people in jackets” who are threatening “North Military District veterans”, demanding that their names be removed from the United Russia primaries. This is the case when the Russian primaries are more interesting than the American ones.
Belousov’s technocracy may have an effect at first. But civilization is also waking up. Putin’s propaganda shouted a lot about its solidarity with the US Republican Party – and who are now the main supporters of Ukraine’s strikes on military targets inside the Russian Federation? Republican Mike Johnson and Republican Michael McCaul, are accusing Biden of indecisiveness. They understand the new realities in Italy, Germany, and France. The most important thing is that it is not so much politicians who understand, but ordinary people.
Once upon a time, one of the great forces of the Cold War was the Anti-Bolshevik Bloc of Nations. The result is known: communism has been consigned to the dustbin of history. A new ABN is emerging before our eyes: the Anti-imperial Bloc of Nations, anti-Putin and, more broadly, anti-despotic.
The Russian Opposition Forum in support of Ukraine, held in Lviv, consolidated the trend. Delegate Vitaly Skoybeda, who fought in the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps, explained to the audience: that only armed resistance to the regime now has political significance, and only they themselves can free the Russians. It was decided to create a permanent coordination structure, including a military-political unit.
The backbone of the political representation of the unconquered nations of Russia is being formed. The League of Free Nations signs a joint memorandum with the temporary special commission of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. National resistance to Kremlin colonialism is strengthening from within the Russian Federation. A striking example of this year is the Bashkir movement in support of Fail Asynov. Which became a kind of “lesson for riot police.”
This is not yet a united front, but a shift towards this direction. The Empire is still strong, but a powerful counterattack from the nations awaits it. Despite all the different approaches, Slovakian Juraj Cintula and Russian Denis Nikitin do the same thing. The first one is in Bratislava, the second one is in Volchansk. The war unleashed by the Kremlin regime will bury him.
