The spiritual advisor to US President Donald Trump, Pastor Mark Burns, during his visit to Ukraine for an interfaith religious forum in Kyiv, met with the soldiers who defended Azovstal.
This was announced by the Chief Rabbi of Ukraine Moshe Reuven Azman, reports “Censor.NET”.
“An important and moving meeting took place at the Central Synagogue of Ukraine! We, together with Pastor Mark Burns, the spiritual advisor to President Trump, had the honor to receive the real Heroes – the defenders of Azovstal. Those who held the defense in the darkest days, who became a symbol of the indomitability of the Ukrainian spirit, who were badly wounded but did not surrender,” Azman noted.
The defenders told Pastor Burns their difficult memories, “they talked a lot about the power of faith during war, about resilience, about hope that is born even in the most difficult moments,” the rabbi noted.
The heroes emphasized that many of the defenders of Azovstal have been in Russian captivity for over a thousand days.
“The pastor was very deeply moved and impressed by the courage and kindness of the defenders, and I am sure that he will take these stories and impressions with him and carry them further into the world!” — added Asman.
Rabbi Asman about a special guest
“A special guest arrived in Ukraine at my invitation — Pastor Mark Burns, personal spiritual advisor to President Donald Trump. He is a well-known figure in religious and political circles in the United States, whose voice today has weight in shaping America’s new strategy and policy.
First of all, Pastor Burns and I went to Bucha, Irpin, and Borodyanka so that he could see with his own eyes the consequences of the crimes of the Russian army against the civilian population of Ukraine, and personally hear the memories of witnesses who survived this terrible occupation… What he saw deeply impressed him – he did not hide his pain, indignation, and sincere sympathy.
I am sure that these emotions and testimonies will not remain with him personally. Pastor Burns is a person who has the opportunity to be heard where big decisions are made. And I believe that the voice of truth from Ukraine will be brought to the very heart of the new American leadership.
But this was only our first stop. There will be more to come!

Let Trump hear it
“There is more war in Ukraine than Democrats or Republicans, left or right.
You may not like Trump or Zelensky, but that is where real people are dying.
20,000 children have been kidnapped and exported to Russia.
According to religious leaders of various faiths, 300 women have recently been raped.
700 religious buildings have been deliberately destroyed, because they are often the only source of hope for the Ukrainian people.
Innocent civilians have been shot in the head from behind, their hands tied.
When I see photos of the dead – children and the elderly – or hear with my own eyes how pastors are tied behind their backs, forced to shoot a colleague, and then shot in the head, or how young soldiers take up arms, wield strike drones, and how they thank President Trump and beg for more ammunition to protect your homes, young wives and children, I don’t care if you don’t like Zelensky. So don’t want to give Ukraine more money.
These warriors on the front lines are not asking for money. They are asking for 1,000 tanks, 300 F-35s and airborne troops to shoot down drones flying over civilian buildings and killing people.
Remember, President Trump sent “Javelins” instead of pillows. He will end this war. Everyone in Ukraine thanks President Trump and America for being with Ukraine.
Pray with me that peace will come quickly in Jesus’ time!
And no, I was not paid for this. I was invited by the Chief Rabbi of Ukraine, who has done so much for refugees from Ukraine. For him and for me, it’s not politics, it’s human lives.”
