On February 28, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora in Washington. The event brought together public figures, clergy, and activists who expressed their support for Ukraine in its struggle for a just and lasting peace, secured by reliable security guarantees.
One of the significant moments of the meeting was the presentation of the Ukrainian Study Bible to the President. Pastor Roman Kapran, who personally handed the publication to Zelensky, reported this on his Facebook page, reports “Slovo pro Slovo”.
“I had the opportunity to present President Zelensky with a Ukrainian Study Bible as a sign of support for the struggle of the Ukrainian people,” Kapran wrote.
During his speech, Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the Ukrainian diaspora in the United States for their unwavering support for Ukraine, expressing gratitude for humanitarian, informational, and financial assistance.
“Your support is important for all of our people. Continue this vital mission – to be the voice of Ukraine in the world,” the President emphasized.
The Ukrainian Study Bible, which was presented to Zelensky, is a new edition containing detailed commentaries, explanations, and historical context of the Holy Scriptures. The symbolic gesture reminds us of the spiritual steadfastness of Ukrainians in the struggle for freedom and justice.
